什么是残疾？

For children ages 3 through 5 – A child who is experiencing a delay in one or more of the following areas: physical development; 认知发展; 贝博体育官方网站发展; 社交或情感发展； 或者适应性发展； 或者，一个孩子被确定为具有以下段落所列的任何条件。

For children ages 5 through 21 – Identification of one or more of the following conditions: autism, deaf-blindness, hearing impairment including deafness, cognitive disability, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, emotional disturbance, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and/or visual impairment and developmental delay.

如果你知道有孩子可能有残疾，请通知学区。 Parents, relatives, public and private agency employees, childcare providers, physicians and concerned citizens are encouraged to help school districts find any child, ages birth – 21, who may have a disability and are in need of special education and related services.
